Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Renga (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Renga mobile app. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Who We Are

Renga is developed and operated by minnya (“Developer”). For privacy questions or requests, contact support@hrkaz.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Account information: email address, username, display name, avatar, bio, and password (or Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
Content you post: text, images, videos, quiz answers, reports you file, and comments/reactions you make (Endorsements, Logic Check challenges, wagers, etc.).

Information collected automatically

Usage and analytics data: screens viewed, features used, and in-app events (via Firebase Analytics).
Crash and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics).
Device and push notification data: device type, OS version, and an FCM push token used to deliver notifications.
Advertising identifier: a device advertising ID used to serve and measure ads through Google AdMob.
Quiz interaction data: response times and answer patterns, used to calculate your Intellect score and to detect automated (“AI-assisted”) cheating.

Information from third parties

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google as permitted by your Google account settings.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
Operate core features: compute your Influence and Intellect scores, display badges and layer filters, run Logic Check battles and TP staking/wagering, and power the strike/moderation system.
Automatically classify posts by topic (“domain labeling”) and generate/validate quiz questions using Google’s Gemini AI models.
Screen text, images, and video for content that may violate our content policy (see Section 6), using a combination of automated AI screening and human review of user reports.
Send push notifications (e.g., badge unlocks, battle results, moderation notices).
Serve and measure advertising.
Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Improve and develop the App.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories of service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf or as an independent processor under its own terms:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Renga, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you where required).

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, records related to strikes or moderation actions may be retained longer to prevent abuse of the reporting system).

6. Content Moderation and Your Data

To comply with app store policies on user-generated content, posts (text, images, and video thumbnails) may be automatically analyzed by AI models to screen for policy-violating content (e.g., violent, sexual, or hateful content). Flagged content may be hidden pending human review. User reports are logged (reporter identity, target content, reason) to support this review process and to prevent abuse of the reporting system (e.g., mass false reporting).

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

Edit most profile information directly in the App.
Request account deletion in-app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting support@hrkaz.com. See our Account Deletion page for details on what is deleted and retained.
Control ad personalization through your device’s advertising settings (e.g., “Opt out of Ads Personalization” in Android system settings).
Control push notifications through your device settings.

We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

Renga is not directed to children and requires users to be at least 17 years old (see our Terms of Service). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below this age. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate action, including deletion of the account. See our Child Safety Standards for our published policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

9. International Data Transfers

Our primary database infrastructure (Supabase) is hosted in the United States. If you access Renga from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls (Row Level Security on our database) and secret management for API credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

This document is a functional starting template prepared for Renga’s initial release and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Please have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel — and adapted for any region-specific requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, APPI) relevant to your user base — before relying on it for a public app store submission.
